Best UI Tools

If you ever needed to learn about which UI tools best suit your needs, here are some recommendations I have for UX and UI designers.

Figma

Figma’s strength lies in designing user interfaces and collaboration. Because you don’t need to download the software to design projects, you can use the browser version to design and collaborate with other designers. It lets you organize, create assets, create compositions and designs very easily. Skills are transferable from other main UX/UI design software such as Sketch and Adobe XD.

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is a great tool for creating vector illustrations, icons, and assets. Vector images scale very well and they do not lose their pixel quality when you scale them up. It’s the most ideal tool for designers when it comes to creating assets because you can import them into Figma or any UX/UI design software.

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is a winner in editing and fixing content. It’s a must have for people who need to fix illustrations and backgrounds for their UX/UI designs.

Balsamiq

Balsamiq allows designers to quickly make a mock up wireframe. It has presets that you can use to create your designs. It’s also easy to share the designs with peers.

Coolors Chrome extension

Coolors’ extension is helpful in creating a color palette or showing people what color palette you plan on using. It also allows you to figure out the hex code of the colors you like.
